This tutorial assumes you know how to access and edit the custom.php file included with your skin. This file can be found at the /wp-content/thesis/skins/SKIN-NAME/custom.php - you have to edit this file via FTP (recommended) or your web hosts control pane, file editor.

If you don't know how to do this, please contact the support group of the company that hosts your website for more information.

Remove Viewport (responsive tag)

Edit custom.php included with your skin and add the following code:

function viewport() {
    return 'content="width=1024';
}
add_filter('thesis_meta_viewport', 'viewport');

Check your site on a mobile device (not on your computer) and it should look like it does on a desktop computer.

Keep Viewport but use the default Thesis version

Test your site on your mobile device, after you make this change, to decide if you prefer it or not.

If you want to use the default Thesis responsive viewport you can do that using the same concept:

function viewport() {
    return 'content="width=device-width';
}
add_filter('thesis_meta_viewport', 'viewport');
