Various bits of PHP / HTML to customize this theme. Add PHP to /custom/custom_functions.php unless otherwise noted.

HTML

1. Adding more fields to the opt-in form (MailChimp)
You can use the Custom HTML box in the Themedy Settings to add more forms to your signup form if you wish, i.e:

<form method="post" action="http://thesisthemes.us1.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=8c6431e97b0699518b36673e8&amp;id=34590415b8" class="featured_form">
<input type="name" name="FNAME" id="FNAME" class="name" placeholder="Enter your First Name" value="" required="required">
<input type="name" name="LNAME" id="LNAME" class="name" placeholder="Enter your Last Name" value="" required="required">
<input type="email" name="EMAIL" id="EMAIL" class="email" placeholder="Enter your Email Address" value="" required="required">
<button class="submit" type="submit">Submit</button>
</form>

The important bits here are:

<form method="post" action=""
name="FNAME" id="FNAME"
name="LNAME" id="LNAME"

You need to replace the "http://thesisthemes...." URL in the our sample action field to your own POST URL. You can add as many "input" fields to the form as you have created in MailChimp - but you have to change the name & ID to match the values in MailChimp.

You can get all this information from the MailChimp HTML embed code they give you.

Once you have customized our above sample to match your own values, drop the full code block into the Appearance -> Themedy Settings -> Custom HTML box and save.

PHP

2. Change the manual slider to an auto transition slider

In functions.php change:

slideshow: false

to:

slideshow: true,
slideshowSpeed: 1000

Where 1000 is equal to 1 second between slide changes, adjust as necessary.
